Massages are the bees knees.

So, I had a gift certificate from my mom and used it over the weekend for a deep tissue massage. It was hands down (pun intended) the best massage I've ever had. The spa, Shen Shen Health and Harmony Spa, was perhaps a little old school, but Jen is beyond fantastic. She really worked out my kinks and knots. I felt amazing afterwards (albeit rather sleepy). Massage is something that I usually think is only for rare occasions, but why? What about a once-a-month treat?

  1. I agree! Regular massage is so beneficial in not only reducing stress and anxiety, but allowing proper blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, blood oxygenation and increased range of motion. I told Derek that if I didn't work at Massage Envy, I would totally buy a monthly program. I was looking at Shen Shen Health and it looks like you can buy a package (which I am sure you are well aware). ;-) I wonder how much normal massages there cost? Well it looks like you have a few Massage Envy clinics in Chicago. Now, Massage Envy is a far cry away from a spa, and I would never think it would be any good, but the therapists at our clinic are extremely talented in what they do. Many of them are certified in different types of massage ranging from deep tissue, sports, swedish, reflexology, trigger point, cranio-sacral, etc. etc. The intro rate at Massage Envy is $49.00 and then you can get a monthly program which is $59.00 a month and that includes your hour session. If interested, let me see what I can do in getting that monthly price down for you. It is a great investment towards your health!
